Find out how you can be disaster ready at the 2024 Get Ready Lockyer day!
This fun (and free!) family event will give you the opportunity to chat with emergency services and other agencies who are the experts in disaster preparation, response and recovery. There will be plenty to see and do, as well as the chance to win some great prizes.

Throughout the day there will be a variety of demonstrations, workshops and interactive activities to help you get ready and stay ready:
- things you can do to prepare your home
- how to put together a household emergency plan
- what to put in your emergency kit
- where to go for information on disaster events
Don’t miss out, come along to Ferrari Park, White’s Road Laidley on Sunday 4th August between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Minor Prizes - 20 x Starter Emergency Kits
To get your emergency kit started, there will be random draws throughout the day to win starter emergency kits. Included in the kits will be:
- IP67 waterproof container
- Red Cross First Aid Kit
- Solar Crank Radio and Torch
- 4000mAh power bank
- Waterproof important document wallet
- Leather safety gloves
Kids Prizes - random prize draws throughout the day of Birdie's Tree books.
School colouring competition winners announced. Each winner received a set of 4 Birdie's Tree books and Birdie and Mr Frog plush toys.
