Big guns for new-look Lifestyle and Leisure Expo

Mr Australia 2015 James Puglia will headline this year's new-look Lifestyle and Leisure Expo at the Lockyer Valley Sports and Aquatic Centre.

James, who also holds the impressive title of Mr Queensland, is sure to have his big guns out on Sunday 21 August when the rebranded event kicks into full swing.

Previously the Health and Wellbeing Expo, Council's Mayor Tanya Milligan said the decision to change the Expo's direction was an easy one.

The Lifestyle and Leisure Expo is an opportunity for us, as a Council, to work closely with community groups to facilitate an event that promotes a healthy lifestyle for our residents.

More than 60 exhibitors will be on offer to showcase everything from health, fitness and nutrition to sporting and leisure groups.

There will also be workshops on everything from natural health options including Reiki, Bowen Therapy and chiropractic to native planting.

With heaps of activities for kids, line dancing, fashion parades, cheerleading and an onsite caf, there really is something for everyone.

We are also thrilled to have bodybuilding competitor, Mr Queensland and Mr Australia James Puglia attend on the day.

James was also ranked fourth in the World competition, which is extremely impressive!

He's a physique and life coach who is passionate about motivating and educating society and I know will be a big drawcard on the day, Mayor Milligan said.
