Road Reserve-Street Tree and Landscape Guidelines
Have you ever wondered which trees or shrubs look best along roadsides, footpaths and median strips?
Are there guidelines for developers to follow to ensure the right plants are placed in the right areas?
Council's Road Reserve: Street Tree and Landscape Guidelines Project will address these issues and more.
Council's Planning and Streetscape Portfolio Councillor, Kathy McLean said the project could have a profound impact on the Lockyer Valley.
As a Council, we are committed to ensuring the unique character and sense of identity across the various towns within the region is upheld and maintained, Cr McLean said.
Council is providing two opportunities to review the Draft Road Reserve: Street Tree and Landscape Guidelines.
Community members can attend the drop-in consultation session on Wednesday 6 September from 4 - 6pm in the Gatton Council Chambers, 26 Railway Street, Gatton.
An online option will be accessible from 6 - 20 September by visiting Council's Community Consultation webpage.
This is an important opportunity for the community to provide feedback on a strategic guide that will be used for many years to come, and I encourage residents to get involved, Cr McLean said.
