Purchase your tickets now for International Women’s Day
There are only two weeks remaining until we come together to celebrate the amazing achievements of women at the 2023 International Women’s Day celebration breakfast.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the day was a prime opportunity to honour women, both past and present, and strive for the acceleration of women’s equality.
“International Women’s Day has been celebrated globally on 8 March since 1911 and presents an opportunity for both men and women to come together to show their support for this great cause.
“Not only will you enjoy a light buffet breakfast but also a presentation by guest speaker, Alison Smith, who is the CEO of Local Government Association Queensland.
“Come along, mingle, network with like-minded people and reflect on the enriching and long-lasting contributions women have made to our society.
“Alison has guided a diverse team of professionals while forging an impressive career path, from working as a journalist and then senior media advisor in the Queensland Government to more recently with ASX-100 companies.
“Enjoy Alison’s inspiring story and hear firsthand how she cracked the glass ceiling,” Mayor Milligan said.
Invite your friends and colleagues and come along to the Gatton Shire Hall at 7am on Wednesday 8 March as we applaud women’s achievements, strive for better equality and give equity a huge embrace.
Pre-purchase your tickets (no tickets at the door) until Wednesday 1 March, at lockyervalleytickets.com.au
