More consultations coming for draft Lockyer Valley Planning Scheme
Residents wanting to learn more about the draft Lockyer Valley Planning Scheme can do just that, with several consultations planned for the next fortnight.
Lockyer Valley Planning Portfolio Councillor, Rick Vela said community groups, businesses and residents are being urged to have their say.
“The draft Lockyer Valley Planning Scheme will play a key role in our strategic land use planning and development assessment and will help manage growth and development in our region.
“If you can, please come along to one of our pop-up or drop-in sessions, learn more about the Scheme and tell us what you think.
“I certainly encourage all Lockyer Valley residents and ratepayers to find out how the new draft Scheme will shape the future of our region.
“This version is a draft and we are genuinely listening to feedback and are reviewing submissions with a plan to make changes where they’re needed.
“This document will be in place for a lengthy time, so it is vital we get it right,” he said.
