Community invited to help shape the future in Liveability Survey
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is calling on the community to have their say for a vibrant and liveable future in the 2025 Lockyer Valley Liveability Survey.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Tanya Milligan, said the survey was a great opportunity for the community to provide statistically meaningful feedback.
“This is a chance for our community to have their say across a range of measures that Council will include in future decision-making.
“A key part of Council’s role is to balance the competing priorities from across the community – with the limited resources available and to make decisions that are in the best interests of the overall community.
“Well-designed consultations such as this Liveability Survey help us to gather the data we need on what different segments of the community most value and aspire to and can be used alongside the feedback we get when we meet with the community at a variety of events.
“It is critical we hear from a wide range of people, from young people to older people, men and women, people from different backgrounds and cultures, and people from a variety of economic backgrounds.
“Everyone’s say is equally important,” Mayor Milligan said.
The survey launches on Monday, 13 January and closes Sunday, 16 February 2025 and will take most people 10 to 15 minutes to complete, giving them the chance to win one of five $100 gift vouchers! The survey can be accessed at http://placescore.org/lockyervalley.
Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Councillor for Community Engagement, Cr Chris Wilson said the survey gives all Lockyer Valley residents a voice.
“This is your opportunity to rate your neighbourhood’s liveability, share your priorities, and offer ideas for improvement.
“The results will guide Council’s planning and decision-making while creating a baseline to track progress in future surveys,” he said.
Council has partnered with social research organisation, Place Score, to manage the survey.
