Laidley Saleyards update
Up to $200,000 has been allocated to the Laidley Saleyards in the remainder of the financial year to undertake detailed design of critical infrastructure needed to meet regulatory requirements and enhance operations.
It comes after the Laidley Saleyards Working Group and Council concluded the facility could be financially viable and continue to make a valuable contribution to the local community with investment, with the Working Group recommending Council undertake capital improvements over the next three years.
Council will also seek financial assistance from the State Government, which is the level of government responsible for biosecurity.
New amenities block for Lake Dyer
Council will soon commence construction of a new disability compliant amenities building at Lake Dyer.
The new block will feature five ensuites, ambulant toilets, a storage room, laundry and more. Works are expected to be completed by the end of April, with demolition of the old structure to begin in early May.

Council Meeting
The next Ordinary Meeting of Lockyer Valley Regional Council will be held on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at the Council Chambers commencing at 9am.
Busy time for Council’s Customer Experience team!
Council’s Customer Experience Team received 1963 phone calls in business hours last month – an increase of 556 calls from the month prior. On average, calls are answered within 1.52 seconds and take around 5.39 minutes per customer.
