Lockyer Valley Regional Council is committed to the future development of the region and has a team of dedicated professionals ready to assist.
The aim of the Council is to develop and promote business growth focusing on:
- New investment
- Employment opportunities
- Business development initiatives
- Tourism and visitor experiences
If you have a business in the Lockyer Valley, or are looking to have a business in the Lockyer Valley, economic development is your first point of contact, and will continue to be your Client Manager in the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

2020 and 2021 have certainly increased the challenges of running a business. Now is a great time to prepare for the future, whatever that may look like for your business!
Many business training providers are currently offering low or no cost opportunities for owners, managers and individual staff to increase their skills and knowledge. Below is a small sample of what is available:
CCIQ Webinars - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland has a schedule of free webinars to support business.
Tafe Queensland are offering a range of education and training to support small, medium and large businesses. In response to Covid-19 many of these courses are free.
The Queensland Small Business Skills Hub is a library of free online video training for small business. The courses are tailored to small business, and provided by GO1 in partnership with the Queensland Government. Available to small businesses with less than 20 staff and a registered ABN.
