Parks and Reserves
About Parks
Lockyer Valley Regional Council has more than 60 parks and reserves scattered across the region. The range and mix of parks and reserves reflects and suits our diverse communities.
Head outdoors and explore the region's very own natural playground. Parks are a place of adventure and discovery, peace and tranquility, recreation and play.
Please view the fact sheet below to find a park near you.
This fact sheet highlights which open spaces have toilets, BBQs, playgrounds, shelters, tables and chairs, skate bowls (skateparks) and exercise equipment. It will assist you in finding a park that best suits your needs.
Council welcomes the community to use Lockyer Valley parks for special gatherings such as weddings, parties and events. However, Council does not take bookings for private events in parks. Council parks are open spaces and must be able to be used by all of the community. A first come, first served basis applies.
Under State laws, alcohol is not to be consumed in a public place unless designated/approved by the relevant Queensland Government Authority.
All users of Council parks must ensure the park is not damaged and that the area is left in a clean and tidy condition.
For more information about booking Lockyer Valley parks and/or facilities for a public/community event, please contact Council.
Lockyer Valley parks and reserves are maintained by Council on a regular basis. However, if you come across something that is broken, vandalised, in need of maintenance or is a safety hazard, please contact Council on 1300 005 872.
