The Tourism Strategy 2021-2026 sets the intentions of Lockyer Valley Regional Council in regard to:
- Who do we aspire to be as a tourism region?
- Who will partner with us to deliver exceptional tourism outcomes for the region?
- Where should we set our sights in terms of marketing and supporting emerging visitor markets?
- How will we know we’ve done well?
Whilst the Tourism Strategy 2021-2026 sets the high-level vision, it is underpinned by an extensive operational plan, that will drive us forward to be a destination of choice to the short break market with unique and bespoke visitor experiences.
The Lockyer Valley has previously been described as a “youthful” tourism destination. This Tourism Strategy supports the maturation of Council’s journey to position itself boldly in the South East Queensland drive market.
