I have a broken or stolen bin
We can fix or replace your broken or stolen bin. Fill out the Wheelie Bin Replacement form below, or contact Council on 1300 005 872.
The approval/signature of the property owner is not required for a repair or a replacement bin.
Damaged bins are repaired/replaced on the property’s next service day depending on bin type e.g. waste or recycle.
Please note that if the damaged bin is not presented on this day a repair cannot occur/replacement bin cannot be delivered and a further request will need to be lodged.
Stolen bins are replaced on a Wednesday or on the property’s next service day, whichever is first depending on the date and time the request is lodged with the Waste/Recycle Collection Contractor.

What is an assisted waste collection service (Infirm Service)?
Council provides an Assisted Waste Collection Service (Infirm Service) for occupiers unable to place their wheelie bin at the collection location because of a medical condition or disability, who have no able-bodied person residing at the premises.
This service is provided to residents who are:
- an infirm, or have a physical or sensory disability; and
- have no able-bodied person living at the property; and
- produce a medical certificate or letter from a doctor stating they are unable to move the wheelie bin to the roadside due to being incapacitated in some way, for example in a wheelchair, on crutches or physically disabled.
On collection day, Council’s waste collection contractor will walk onto the property, remove the bins and after emptying them, return the bins to the storage location. This service is only available for properties less than 100m from the public road, and where it is safe for the operator to carry out the service. Please note that waste collection trucks do not drive onto your property for an Assisted Waste Collection Service (Infirm Service).
An Assisted Waste Collection Service (Infirm Service):
- Is allocated to a person, not a property.
- Can be suspended for a period of time if a resident is away from the property but will be returning in the future.
- Can be moved to a new address when the applicant moves.
- Can be cancelled by the applicant, next of kin, authorised person or real estate agent at any time if the service is no longer required.
Note: Each application for an Assisted Waste Collection Service (Infirm Service) will require a site inspection and will be assessed prior to approval. If this service is approved, an updated medical certificate or letter from a doctor will be required annually to have the service continued.
To apply for an Assisted Waste Collection Service, please contact Council on 1300 005 872 or complete your details via the below online form
