Bin-go for new app

Do you ever forget which day you are meant to put your wheelie bins out for collection?

Some people would answer yes to this question but this will no longer be a concern with the solution now available.

From 3 August, the What Bin Day' app will become available to Lockyer Valley residents.

By downloading this app, knowing what day your bins need to be placed our for collection will become hassle free according to Lockyer Valley Mayor, Steve Jones.

This is a simple app to use as it lets you know when to put your waste and recycling bins out, Mayor Jones said.

Once you have downloaded the app you just have to type in your address and you will be able to see your collection day.

You can also set up reminders on your phone to ensure you don't forget.

We have made a lot of improvement in waste services over the past couple of years and this is an extension of that service.

The What Bin Day' app is available both on Androids and iOS.
