Book now to develop your grant writing skills
Lockyer Valley Regional Council will soon host another Grant Writing Workshop.
The initiative offers the region's community groups and committees the opportunity to develop and strengthen skills and have access to funding available through grants.
Council's Mayor Tanya Milligan said the workshop, facilitated by Grants Mentor Ann Bichel, was aimed at equipping the novice grant writer with a basic skill set.
Council knows each and every community group in the region plays a pivotal role in keeping the Lockyer Valley vibrant and alive.
Obtaining the skills to develop a successful application is key to success, Mayor Milligan said.
When: Tuesday 18 October
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Where: Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, Gatton
RSVP: By 10 October 2016
To get the most from the workshops, it is recommended at least two participants attend from each community group or organisation.
The workshop is timed to coincide with the next round of grants, due to close in November.
Anyone who attends the workshop will be eligible to enter the mentoring program and gain assistance from our grants mentor, Mayor Milligan said.
Pre-registration is required. Workshops are subject to demand and numbers are limited. To register, contact Council's Community Engagement Team on 1300 005 872 or email asteinhardt@lvrc.qld.gov.au
