Business of the Year awarded to OBT Financial Group
OBT Financial Group has been awarded the 2015 Business of the Year at the Lockyer Valley Business, Training and Apprenticeship Awards.
Capping off a remarkable night for the team, the business was also named the Professional, Health and Fitness Services Award-winner before a capacity crowd at the Gatton Shire Hall on Saturday night.
Council's Mayor Steve Jones congratulated OBT Financial Group on its commitment to innovation in the financial sector.
OBT Financial Group continues to lead the way in the financial services sector, Cr Jones said.
Their commitment to their clients, client relationships and excellent service is commendable, to say the least.
They want only the best for their clients and ensure they make informed, strategic decisions about their business and personal wealth.
Star of Channel Seven's flagship breakfast program, Sunrise, MC James Tobin kicked-off the night's entertainment and kept guests on their toes with his charming personality.
James kept the audience enthralled throughout the evening and must be congratulated for the manner in which he conducted the event.
As official proceedings and the gala dinner progressed, comedian Kat Davidson from The Sit Down Comedy Club regaled guests, while popular band Lodi had everyone up on the dance floor well into the night.
Another notable winner on the night was Gehrke Grains and Transport Pty Ltd, awarded with the Mayor's Award.
Gehrke Grains and Transport are a long-standing business that provides employment opportunities to many residents, Cr Jones said.
