Channel Seven star to headline awards ceremony
Channel Seven Star James Tobin will MC this Saturday's Lockyer Valley Business, Training and Apprenticeship Awards.
James is a popular television personality and entertainment reporter. He is part of the Seven Network's' Sunrise' team, providing the latest news, gossip and feature interviews from the movie and music scene.
James started his media career in 1999, when he joined ARN' as a music researcher, then moved on to Austereo's' 2DAY FM'. He jumped across into television to join Foxtel's' Nickelodeon channel', hosting their Saturday morning show sn:tv' and specials, including Head to Head'. He became a popular children's television personality and appeared on a number of other shows, including Sarvo' and the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards'.
James joined the Seven Network' in 2008, hosting the weekly music program Eclipse Music TV' and children's game show Go Go Stop.
Early 2008 James also joined the network's top rating breakfast show to take on the role as Sunrise's' Entertainment reporter.
James has also tried his hand at acting, appearing in the medical drama All Saints' and the Australian feature film Lovely Scary Wolves'. He also proved to be a crowd favourite on the Seven Network's Dancing with The Stars.
Council's Mayor Steve Jones said securing James as MC for Saturday's Awards ceremony was a major coup.
James' star is one that's on the rise and we are thrilled he'll join us as we celebrate the region's business achievements, Cr Jones said.
The Lockyer Valley Business Training and Apprenticeship Awards will be held at the Gatton Shire Hall on Saturday 24 October.
