Council's new-look Tourism Guide, website a must-have for locals
The finishing touches on Council's new Tourism Guide are now complete and residents are urged to check out the new-look publication.
Unsure of what's on offer to see and do in the Lockyer Valley? The Tourism Guide is a must-have and outlines everything from family attractions to museums, lookouts and scenic parks.
Council's Mayor Steve Jones said all too often, residents were unaware of what was on offer in their own backyard.
The Lockyer Valley is full of hidden treasures, Cr Jones said.
If you're hosting relatives or friends, it's also a great go-to to ensure you have tons to do and show off the best the region has to offer.
Council's tourism website, www.luvyalockyer.com.au, has also had a makeover.
Cr Jones encouraged residents to utilise the website when planning their weekend activities.
The trip planner function allows you to add your favourite attractions and businesses and then simply print a list of your must-see spots to visit.
Local businesses, including restaurants, shops and tourist attractions can also promote their businesses on the website. Email regionaldevelopment@lvrc.qld.gov.au for details.
Copies are available from the Lake Apex Visitor Information Centre, Gatton, or your closest Council office.
