There's just over one week left and that's all the time you need to submit your nominations for the Lockyer Valley Business, Training and Apprenticeship Awards.
Nominations close on 31 August and Mayor Tanya Milligan encouraged anyone considering placing an entry to act quickly.
The Awards are focused on recognising innovation and excellence in local business and their respective employees, trainees and apprentices.
Placing a nomination is the first step in what is an exciting process so please, if you're thinking of nominating, why not give it a go this year, Mayor Milligan said.
The event, to be hosted again by Lockyer Valley Regional Council, will comprise 13 categories, including the always-popular Heritage Bank People's Choice Award.
Business categories include:
1. Transport, Logistics, Manufacturing and Agricultural Services
2. Tourism
3. Food and Dining
4. Professional, Health and Fitness Services
5. Retail
6. Trade Services
7. Agriculture and Horticulture Production and Processing
8. Home Based Business
9. Environmental and Sustainable
Individual categories:
1. Trainee of the Year
2. Apprentice of the Year
3. Young Supervisor/Manager of the Year
4. Employee of the Year
Businesses can also nominate a valuable staff member in Employee of the Year Categories for Young Supervisor Manager, Apprentice of the Year and Trainee of the Year.
All finalists will receive two complimentary tickets to the Gala Awards Dinner, valued at $190. All nominations will also go into a draw to win an advertising package from the Gatton Star.

The 2016 Lockyer Valley Business, Training and Apprenticeship Awards will be held on Saturday 22 October.
