Key data under the spotlight at Census update
Media Release
It rolls around every five years and we all know it's mandatory to complete, but have you ever wondered where the results from the Census actually end up?
For an exciting opportunity to see how the Lockyer Valley has changed over the Census period (2011 - 2016), come along to a free event in February.
All your questions, from how many people live in Helidon to the age of residents in Murphys Creek can all be answered at the Lockyer Valley Census Update.
The workshop will be presented by ID Consulting, with topics to include: population, growth and ageing; diversity; households and economy.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor Tanya Milligan said this was an important opportunity for the region's businesses and community groups, too.
This is a chance for the key stakeholders in our region to receive both the knowledge and tools to help attract investment and funding to the community.
The update will address what industries are most dominant and how they are performing, as well as provide some insight into where business gaps may present in the future, Mayor Milligan said.
