Laidley Heritage Weekend - a journey back in time
Take a journey back in time next month at the annual Laidley Heritage Weekend.
Visitors and locals alike will have a chance to discover the rich past and heritage of Laidley over the weekend of 16 and 17 April.
Acting Mayor Tanya Milligan said the festival was an opportunity to revel in the old-fashioned fun of years gone by.
The Laidley Heritage Weekend is a great chance to immerse yourself in activities of yester-year, like sheep shearing or vintage car rides.
Taking a break from the business of everyday life and re-connecting with what matters is important, and this is the perfect chance to do just that.
There will be vintage vehicles and traditional food on offer so spend the day with the family exploring the past and enjoying the full program on offer at both venues, Cr Milligan said.
For the first time, horse and carriage rides will be on offer. For just $3 per seat, it's sure to be a hit with all ages.
Held at Das Neumann Haus and the Laidley Pioneer Village and Museum, there is a great line-up of entertainment including:
