It's a hit on ABC Kids TV and Lockyer Valley Regional Council is thrilled to announce dirtgirlworld will headline the children's entertainment line-up at this year's Laidley Spring Festival Family Fun Day.
The Laidley Spring Festival will be held from Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 September. The Family Fun Day, held on the Saturday, is on from 9am - 2pm at the Laidley Recreation Reserve and will feature rides, markets, kids' activities and Geckoes Wildlife.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the adults too thanks to The Beatles tribute show, The Beatlegs when they hit the stage for four performances on the day.
Celebrations will kick off on the Thursday with the Spring Orchid Show, as well as the Artists Exhibition, Quilt and Craft Expo, Botanical Caf, Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum, Das Neumann Haus and church displays officially opening to the public.
Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said Council was thrilled to this year offer a range of new events to the festival.
The Laidley Spring Festival is regarded as the leading event in the Lockyer Valley and it is wonderful to now have even more to offer residents and visitors to the region, Mayor Milligan said.
Other must-see events on Saturday 8 September include the Show n Shine, Colour Run, Busking Competition, the Make it, Bake it, Grow it Markets and of course the Street Parade from 10am.
Pre-registrations are now open for the Laidley Spring Festival Show n Shine. The event will be held at Ferrari Park on Saturday 8 September from 8am -1pm. Cost of entry is $5 per vehicle, with funds raised going towards the local SES group.
An all-new event to the festival, the Busking Competition will be held from Thursday 6 - Saturday 8 September. If you can hold a note, play an instrument, have street performer talents and enjoy performing then why not enter? It is hoped the buskers will perform in the Laidley CBD and some festival venues for one-hour sessions from 10am - 2pm each day. The final will be held at The Old Britannia Hotel in Laidley on Saturday 8 September at 4pm.
Help promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together at the very first Laidley Spring Festival Colour Run! Be at the Laidley Recreational Reserve on Saturday 8 September and get ready for the Colour Run to start at 12.30pm. Sponsored by OBT Financial, entry is only $8 or pre-register for $12 if you want a white I survived' t-shirt included.

Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum opens its doors with all the vintage machinery operating across the festival. The Blacksmith will be working and on Friday, join them for a Spring Concert over the lunch period. Entry is by donation.
Das Neumann Haus featuring Annie's Place Coffee Shoppe will offer a special pancake menu, markets and music during the festival. Award-winning gardens will also be on display throughout the region. Contact 5466 3425 for more information.
