Meet-up Morning Tea well received
The Lockyer Valley's business community came together last week to hear words of wisdom from communication and social media strategist, Mel Kettle.
Around 20 people came along to share ideas on how to improve their business and share practical, low-cost marketing tips for both on and offline.
Council's Mayor Tanya Milligan said Mel's advice was not only well received, but easily actionable too.
Mel discussed the issue of marketing and brought attention to the fact that is doesn't have to be expensive, but must occur frequently.
She also shared where to find free resources, the importance of knowing your target market and the role networks and contacts play in word of mouth referrals.
We were so fortunate to have someone with such experience and standing in the Lockyer Valley, to advise our business owners and help with their growth and development, Cr Milligan said.
A blogger, educator and board member with more than 20 years' experience, Mel Kettle boasts a Master of Business in Marketing and a Master of Public Health. She also sits on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators (Qld).
