Portfolios announced for Lockyer Valley Regional Council
Lockyer Valley Regional Council has today announced Councillor Portfolios to represent the Lockyer Valley region over the next four years.
Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said each Councillor received a portfolio that reflected their expertise and interests.
The Portfolio allocations are a testament to the exemplary work conducted by our previous Councillors, and we are excited to continue this into the new term.
Each Councillor will work in a collaborative manner with other portfolio leaders, and council officers, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
We want to assure the community we are excited and ready to get to work and will continue to do our best to serve the Lockyer Valley community, Mayor Milligan said.
Portfolio Councillors are:
Mayor Tanya Milligan: Civic Leadership and Advocacy (Community Engagement and Development; Media and Communications; Disaster Management)
Councillor Jason Cook: Community Facilities and Waste (Waste; Facilities and Recreation; Community Groups)
Councillor Michael Hagan: Community Services, Environment and Economic Development (Libraries, the Arts and Child Care; Health (including regional Health Initiatives); Environment; Economic Development)
Councillor Janice Holstein: Infrastructure (Civil Operations; Infrastructure Planning; Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries)
Councillor Brett Qualischefski: Information Technology and Tourism (Information, Communication and Technology; Organisational Development; Tourism)
Councillor Rick Vela: Planning and Development (Strategic Land Use Planning; Development Assessment; Building and Plumbing)
Councillor Chris Wilson: Finance and Business Performance (Finance; Business Performance; Business Unit Review)
All Councillors have a wealth of knowledge and talents that will not only build on the work and performance of the previous four years but will also continue to deliver positive outcomes for our region.
Community members are welcome to contact Councillors directly with any concerns they have and are encouraged to start with the portfolio Councillor relevant to their concern, Mayor Milligan said.
