Producers line up for Good Food and Wine Show
PRODUCERS are lining up to showcase their goods at this year's Good Food and Wine Show, to be held at South Bank's Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre later this month.
Council's Mayor Steve Jones said the Good Food and Wine Show was the perfect platform for producers to showcase the premium produce that stems from the Lockyer Valley.
The Lockyer Valley is home to mouth-watering goods - it really is something special, he said.
We are proud to hold a stand again this year. It is a great event for us to be involved in.
The Good Food and Wine Show attracts thousands of visitors each year, so it is not only important, but influential that we maintain a presence at this event.
The Lockyer Valley site will be facilitated by a number of award-winning Lockyer Valley producers including: Schulte's, Preston Peak Wines, Bauer's Organic Farm, Seatonfire Chilli Chocolate and Mormor Food.
Held from 30 October to 1 November, the Good Food and Wine Show is also an opportunity to meet Lockyer Valley Food Ambassador, Alastair McLeod.
Alastair and his catering company AlFreshCo will be preparing food that showcases Lockyer Valley produce. There will even be a chance to win a hamper full of Lockyer Valley goodies and one night accommodation at Branell Homestead, Cr Jones said.
You only have to sample some of the food which will be on display to understand why the Lockyer Valley is home to the best produce in Australia.
The show gives us a chance to not only exhibit these exceptional producers but it is a great way to promote tourism information about the region.
