Get your bulbs out Lockyer, it's Christmas time!
The festive season is nearly upon us and that means it's time for all things Christmas.
And what better way to celebrate the holidays than by creating a stunning decorative display at your home or business and entering the 2016 Spirit of the Lockyer Valley Christmas Lights and Decoration Competition.
Lockyer Valley Mayor Tanya Milligan said nominations would open on November 1.
Decorating your home or business is a wonderful way to get into the spirit of the season and it really brings the community together.
It's such a special time of year and it's lovely to see families driving around to share in the Christmas joy.
Let's make the Lockyer shine!
Categories include:
- Best nativity scene
- Best decorated home
- Best decorated or lit business (interior/window)
- Best Novice- first time entrant
- Best community group
- Best solar powered display
- Best recycling display
Winners will receive a voucher valued at $250 from a local business of their choice. Second and third prize will also be awarded.
Entries close at 4.30pm on Friday 25 November.
