Lots on at Lockyer Valley Libraries this September Holidays
You will be guaranteed fun at the Lockyer Valley Libraries over the September School Holidays.
Thanks to the assistance of a Regional Arts Development Fund Grant, Council is proud to offer a range of activities for children aged between three and 12.
Council's Mayor Tanya Milligan said the program was not to be missed.
The sessions will focus on allowing children to learn techniques in hand building and working with clay, using their imaginations and being creative in an encouraging and inviting setting.
It's a great opportunity to learn something new and meet new friends, Cr Milligan said.
The workshops will be held in Gatton on Tuesday 20 September and Laidley on Tuesday 27 September.
Workshops include:
Children 3 - 6 years - Crazy Clay Monster, 9 - 10.15am. Learn how to transform a simple pinch pot into the craziest monster around. Parent/Carer required to assist children.
Children 6 - 12 years - Aussie Clay Birds, 11 - 12.15pm. Create a 3D painted clay sculpture of a native Australian bird.
Children 6 - 12 years - Funky 3D Sculpture, 1 - 2.15pm. Use a cone shape of clay and transform it into a creative funky critter.
Also on at the Gatton Library over the holidays:
Wrapped Earbuds - 6 - 12 years, Thursday 22 September from 2 - 3 pm. Add some colour to a set of headphone cords for no more tangles. Cost is $2, including earbuds.
Free Mystery Movie Evening (PG), Friday 23 September from 5 - 7pm. Watch a mystery movie. The Staging Post Caf will be open for purchases from their $10 Pizza Menu. Bookings are essential. Children under 12 must be supervised.
Dear Zoo craft - 3 - 6 years, Tuesday 27 September from 9 - 10am. If you love Dear Zoo, join us for a fun morning of zoo craft. Parent or carer is required to assist children. Cost is $2.
Zootopia LEGO - Thursday 29 September, 9 - 10am (3 - 6 years) and 2 - 3pm (6 - 12 years). Come along for some FREE Zootopia fun!
