Laidley Spring Festival 2018
Thousands have attended the 2018 Laidley Spring Festival, which wrapped up on Saturday afternoon.
Crowds packed Patrick Street in Laidley to enjoy Saturday's Street Parade, which concluded a busy three days of festivities.
Laidley State School took out the title of Grand Champion Float at Saturday's Laidley Spring Festival Grand Parade, with their ABBA-inspired float.
Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the quality of this year's floats were outstanding.
The time and effort parade entrants commit to floats and costumes is something they should all be congratulated on.
It was wonderful to have so many entrants in this year's Street Parade and the spectators certainly enjoyed the opportunity to cheer them on over two laps, Mayor Milligan said.
As expected, dirtgirlworld's live stage show was a hit with the youngsters at the Family Fun Day, as was The Beatles tribute show The Beatlegs when they hit the stage for four performances.
It was wonderful to see the crowds get out and about to enjoy everything the festival had to offer.
The Colour Run was also a screaming success.
Not only is the Laidley Spring Festival the region's hero event but it really highlights our sense of civic pride and community spirit, which really is alive and well, Mayor Milligan said.
