Spring has sprung in Laidley
They're a favourite with the youngsters and this year, none other than PAW Patrol will headline the entertainment line-up at this year's Laidley Spring Festival.
It's on again from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 September.
Celebrations will kick off on Thursday with the Spring Orchid Show, as well as the Artists Exhibition, Quilt and Craft Expo and church displays officially opening to the public. Other must-see events on Saturday 9 September include the QN Hotel Show and Shine, Make it, Bake it, Grow it Markets from 8.30am - 1pm, Vintage Car Show, the Street Parade from 9.30am and roving entertainment, music, face painting and an animal farm.
Nick Jr. PAW Patrol's Ready for Action live stage shows, plus special guest, Alexa Curtis, winner of The Voice Kids will make this year's day in the park one to remember. Come along from 9am to 2pm to enjoy a full stage program with music, dance demonstrations and giveaways.
Council's Mayor Tanya Milligan said the festival would bring an added element of excitement to the region.
The Laidley Spring Festival continues to grow in popularity each year and I'm confident this year will be no exception, Cr Milligan said.
Das Neumann Haus featuring Annie's Place Coffee Shoppe will offer a special pancake menu, markets and music during the festival.
Come along and enjoy this fabulous community event, Cr Milligan said.
If you're unsure of what's on offer to see and do, chat with friendly volunteers at one of the Information Hot Spots, located in front of the Post Office, Patrick Street or near the stage at the Laidley Recreation Reserve on Saturday from 9am - 2pm.
A visit to some of the award-winning gardens on display is also a must, and I would encourage anyone interested to enjoy a public bus tour of the winning garden on Friday 8 September, Cr Milligan said.

A free shuttle bus will run between the main venues during the three days, departing the Laidley Cultural Centre every 30 minutes.
