Strengthening our clubs
How do you bring in new members and sponsors to your sporting group?
Learn about the best ways to build your club at a Building Active Communities Workshop this February in Laidley.
Presented by Krista Hauritz and supported by Lockyer Valley Regional Council, members of the public are welcome to attend this workshop which will provide free training and education for sport and recreation volunteers.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Steve Jones, said this was a perfect opportunity to learn ways to build your club's capacity.
We have a number of fantastic organisations within the Lockyer Valley and this workshop is the perfect way for them to get tips on how to promote themselves, Mayor Jones said.
Often there is such a focus on running the club that sometimes they forget to publicise what they are doing and this workshop will be a way to help clubs do that.
Krista will also talk about ways of attracting more sponsorship for clubs which will help make them more sustainable for the future.
This Building Active Communities Workshop explores benefits of a sound marketing strategy and provides tips for securing that vital sponsorship.
