Summer Reading Club
If you're fretting about how to keep your kids entertained this summer, Lockyer Libraries has you covered.
With activities ranging from Friday night movies to inventing with MaKey MaKey, there are plenty of ways to join in the fun.
Lockyer Valley Mayor Steve Jones said during the summer, the region's youth have a chance to participate in activities that are both entertaining and educational.
School holidays are just around the corner and what better way to encourage learning than the Lockyer Library's Summer Reading Club? Cr Jones said.
Joining the Library's Summer Reading Club is an easy task. Just register with your branch and receive your starter pack.
For every book read, a stamp is placed in your Summer Reading Club bookmark and your completed bookmark will produce a reward, along with entering you in a chance to win prizes.
In addition to the variety of activities held at the libraries during January, Gatton and Laidley Libraries have a scavenger hunt stretching over the holiday period where you can win a prize if you crack the code.
Registration for the Summer Reading Club is now open and online registration will be available on 14 December.
