Taste Australia’s Salad Bowl in Martin Place
Taste Australia's Salad Bowl in Martin Place
A taste of Australia's Salad Bowl will be dished up when renowned celebrity chef and Lockyer Valley Food Ambassador, Alastair McLeod, takes to the stage in Sydney's mecca, Martin Place.
The event will officially launch Lockyer Valley Regional Council's third visit to the renowned Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Set to showcase some of Australia's freshest produce grown in the heart of the Lockyer Valley, the event will give Sydneysiders the chance to meet the locals and our boutique producers, who are passionate about local produce.
Boasting the title of one of the top 10 most fertile farming areas in the world, the Lockyer Valley is home to fresh and full-flavoured fruit, vegetables and gourmet goodies.
Acting Mayor Tanya Milligan said she hoped the event would encourage the people of Sydney and visitors to the city to attend the taste test, and pop by Council's stand at the Show.
The Lockyer Valley is home to fresh and full-flavoured fruit and vegetables and gourmet goodies.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our city counterparts to not only taste Alastair's cooking, but to see where the food they eat stems from.
Council's stand at this year's Royal Easter Show will guarantee an authentic country experience and will allow visitors a chance to sit on a fruiterer truck and talk to locals and boutique producers.
As one of the leading food growing regions in the country, we hope to see you there!
