Upgrade coming for Forest Hill Bore Site
The Forest Hill Bore Site will receive an upgrade this month following a funding injection from the Queensland Government.
Lockyer Valley Infrastructure Portfolio Councillor Janice Holstein said a range of projects would be undertaken in the upgrade.
"Council will upgrade the road and site drainage at the Forest Hill Bore water loading area, which will include the vehicle turnaround area and the road entry and exit points.
"A concrete slab will be installed directly in front of the bore and Queensland Urban Utilities outlets.
"A temporary load point will also be installed to allow for access for water users with Council-issued keys during the construction period.
"The works will go a long way towards improving access to the Forest Hill Bore Site and will eliminate the large potholes that fill with water during rain," Cr Holstein said.
Council will install a temporary load point away from the work site for access by those with keys, so water will still be accessible.
This project is funded under the Queensland Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience Funding (QDRRRF).
The Forest Hill Bore site is located on Forest Hill-Fernvale Road, Forest Hill.
