Lake Apex, Lake Freeman competition winners announced
The winners of the Lake Apex and Lake Freeman Precinct Community Survey and Drawing Competition have been announced!
Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to congratulate survey winners, Sarah Cranston and Tammy Heit and drawing competition winner, seven-year-old Isla O’Keeffe.
Due to the rapid growth the region is currently experiencing, Council undertook a review of the existing Lake Apex Master Plan 2010 late last year, in order to gain greater understanding on the community’s usage of Lake Apex and Lake Freeman.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan thanked the community for their input throughout the consultation period.
“The Lakes Precinct is a popular location for both locals and visitors, so it was a timely opportunity check in with our community about what they would now like to see for the future – and capture that for proper future planning and preservation.
“We will certainly consider how we can use the community’s ideas to inform a brighter, more resilient future at the Lakes Precinct,” Mayor Milligan said.
All three winners reside in the Lockyer Valley and received a $100 Lockyer Valley Gift Card, kindly donated by the Lockyer Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
