Council proud to host International Women’s Day breakfast
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is once again proud to host this year’s International Women’s Day Celebration Breakfast.
Tickets for the event are now on sale, to be held on Tuesday 8 March 2022 at the Gatton Shire Hall in North Street, Gatton.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the event was always a highlight on her calendar.
“This is such a wonderful opportunity for our region’s men and women to come together and enjoy the opportunity to grow, connect and enjoy each other’s company.
“And I certainly do encourage men to come along and celebrate the amazing women in their lives and those in our community – after all, they have mothers, wives, daughters and sisters,” Mayor Milligan said.
Tickets are $25 for a light buffet breakfast and the chance to hear guest speaker, Mandy Smolders, who is a local entrepreneur and award-winning businesswoman.
“Mandy is not only the owner of Billycart Kids online shoe boutique, but she is also an up-and-coming product developer and local wedding celebrant.
“Mandy’s story of pursuing her own business dreams and her passion for that illusive work-life balance in order to work just 16 hours a week will no doubt resonate with a lot of the audience.
“Quality time with our family and friends is priceless and I look forward to hearing more of Mandy’s story and her tips and tricks to make this a reality,” Mayor Milligan said.
Pre-purchase your tickets (no tickets at the door) until Friday 4 March at lockyervalleytickets.com.au
Raffle tickets will be available on the day, with proceeds going towards event volunteers, the Lockyer Valley Veterans Cricket Association.
