Entry is free from 9am to 3pm. Experience the German heritage, delicious homemade treats from Annie’s Place Coffee Shoppe, musical entertainment by Vintage Gold, markets and free entry to the house museum.
Built by German immigrant Hermann Neumann in 1893, the house has been restored to its former condition, refurbished in the style of the 1930's and is open to the public. Annie's Place Coffee Shoppe operates within the building and will offer visitors an assortment of yummy treats. Relax on the alfresco deck or under the shade of the 100-year-old Jacaranda tree in the park while you’re entertained by local musicians Vintage Gold. While you’re there, browse the many markets stalls on offer for that special reminder of your time at the festival.
Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum
Established in 1972 and located on the corner of Drayton and Pioneer Streets, Laidley, the village is what it is today thanks to the dedicated vision and hard work of the foundation members and many volunteers of the Laidley District Historical Society. Activities and entertainment will be held from 8am – 2pm and entry is by donation, with a range of displays, including a Vintage Linn Tractor-C 1928 that is both restored and operational. Enjoy strolling through the old buildings and be entertained by award-winning poet Marco Gliori from 10am, who will both amaze and amuse all ages.
Local musicians will have your toes tapping and the Big Brekky, plus all day menu will keep you fuelled! There will also be a small engines and woodworking display, operating blacksmith shop and the Lockyer Valley School of Highland Dance will perform.
Gatton & District Historical Village
It's Family History Day at the Village! Discover your ancestry through the incredible photo collection at the Village - you just might discover some of your relatives amongst the collection.
