Join in the fun of National Simultaneous Story Time
“Family Tree” by Josh Pyke will be the feature at this year’s National Simultaneous Story Time.
The yearly initiative will see libraries, schools and families Australia-wide join in the special Story Time, and the Lockyer Valley will be no exception.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said children could participate in the special day at the Gatton Library.
“It is really special to think that Australia-wide, children will open the pages of this book at the exact same time and Council is thrilled to offer that opportunity to the youngsters of our region too.
“We all know the importance of early literacy development and the joy that can be found in books, regardless of your age.
“This is certainly a wonderful experience so don’t miss your chance to participate,” Cr Hagan said.
