To mark National Volunteer Week, Lockyer Valley Regional Council is extending their thanks to the region’s unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind-the-scenes to make the Lockyer Valley a better place.
National Volunteer Week is not only about acknowledging the contribution these selfless individuals make to our community, but also aims to promote the value of volunteering.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said volunteers played a pivotal part in the seamless function of our organisation.
“Volunteer Week gives us the opportunity to formally acknowledge the efforts our volunteers make on a consistent basis.
“Their efforts have a far greater reach than they understand, not only to our organisation but the wider Lockyer Valley community.
“To our volunteers at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, Das Neumann Haus, Council events, Queensland Transport Museum, Visitor Information Centre and our Tourism Ambassador – thank you.
“Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Lockyer Valley and together, and we celebrate them,” Mayor Milligan said.
