Lots on at Lockyer Valley Libraries these school holidays
You will be guaranteed loads of free fun at Lockyer Valley Libraries during the upcoming school holidays.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is pleased to offer a range of activities for school-aged children over the winter break.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said the line-up of activities would keep youngsters both entertained and challenged.
“Come along to both the Gatton and Laidley Libraries over the school holidays and I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed,” Cr Hagan said.
“The weather can often be a little uncertain during the winter break, but the school holidays are the perfect time for youngsters to enjoy a change from the routine of school.
“Entertaining the kids can often be expensive, which is why we’ve worked hard to ensure all school holiday activities are free for our families to enjoy,” Cr Hagan said.
Barnyard Babies: Laidley – Tuesday 28 June, 10am; Gatton – Wednesday 29 June, 10am. Come along for a fun morning with barnyard babies. Meet a host of animals and enjoy craft too. Bookings required.
Sticking Together Craft Day: Gatton – Friday 1 July; Laidley – Monday 4 July. Entertain the kids with fun sticker craft activities. Bookings not required. This activity is self-guided with parent supervision required. The session will run all day.
Movie Matinee and Popcorn: Tuesday 5 July, Gatton and Laidley at 2pm. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon watching a movie on the big screen with a bag of popcorn. Bookings essential.
Lego Afternoon: Thursday 7 July, Gatton and Laidley at 2pm. Come along for an hour of Lego fun. Bookings not required.
Scavenger Hunt: Monday 27 June to Friday 8 July, all day at Gatton and Laidley. Test your sleuthing skills and go on a scavenger hunt to see if you can crack the code. Bookings not required but parental supervision is.
