The expansion of a popular park in Withcott is now complete, just in time for the upcoming school holidays.
Jean Biggs Park in Withcott is now sporting a host of new and exciting all-inclusive playground equipment.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Parks and Gardens Portfolio Councillor, Janice Holstein said the construction period has officially wrapped-up.
“Providing all-inclusive access was top of mind for both the local community and our Council and the finished product has certainly delivered.
“The facility now boasts new musical equipment, an inclusive carousel and swing with rubber surfacing and soft fall.
“Council crews also completed concrete work to improve drainage of the facility.
“We extend our thanks to the Withcott & District Progress Association Inc. for its support in helping raise money for the equipment and for adding value to this important community asset,” Cr Holstein said.
