Have your say on Council’s Arts and Cultural Plan
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is developing a new Arts and Cultural Plan and you are invited to have your say!
Lockyer Valley Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan encouraged the region’s artists, cultural workers and those in the Lockyer Valley creative communities to attend one of the upcoming consultation sessions.
“Our consultants from The Ideas Distillery will explore several aspects of the Plan at consultation sessions next month, and we’re inviting you to come along and share your ideas.
“How can our creative communities work together to grow arts and cultural opportunities?
“The sessions will include discussions on cultural tourism, public art, socially engaged arts, arts-led health and wellbeing, inclusivity, thriving creative industries, valuing the arts and the importance of building creative skills, plus more.
“We’re inviting interested community members to share their thoughts at one of the upcoming consultation sessions so we can put the spotlight on arts and culture in the Lockyer Valley and ensure we have the best possible Plan for our growing community,” Cr Hagan said.
