Celebrate Book Week across the Lockyer Valley

Lockyer Valley Libraries will mark Book Week later this month and you’re invited to join in the celebrations.

Come along to the Gatton and Laidley Libraries on Tuesday 23 August 2022 for a special Story Time event, which will keep the youngsters on their toes through exploring stories, rhymes, songs and craft. Children and carers may dress-up as their favourite book character.

Lockyer Valley Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said this year’s theme was “Dream with eyes wide open...”

“We’re inviting youngsters aged under five to come along for a special morning.

“Book Week is an important celebration of children’s literature and the important role books play in the lives of our young people,” Cr Hagan said.
