The weekend’s Regenerative Farm Management Essentials Workshop booked out in record time and Council has announced an additional workshop will be held in September to meet the strong community demand.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is encouraging interested Lockyer farmers to secure their spot now, for the 17 and 18 September event.
Lockyer Valley Environment Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said the demand for a second event was overwhelming.
“The first workshops booked out in record time, and we didn’t want to see so many interested farmers miss out.
“This is the perfect opportunity for Lockyer famers to find out ways to reduce input costs, work with nature, improve farm sustainability, improve resilience to climatic extremes and apply management tools that will allow the landscape to thrive.
“We will welcome back facilitator Helen Lewis, who is a qualified Holistic Management International and Savory Institute Educator, as well as the co-owner of Picots Farms outside of Warwick,” Cr Hagan said.
When: Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 September
Time: 9am - 4pm
Location: Blenheim Hall
Cost: Free
The Regenerative Farm Management Essentials training is free to Lockyer Valley residents thanks to support by Lockyer Valley Regional Council, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund. This fund supports land managers to implement transformational on-farm natural resource management practices that build climate resilience in the landscape.
