The Lockyer Valley will welcome Australian country rock singer-songwriter, Will Day as the feature act at this year’s all-new Twilight Feast & Fest at the upcoming 2022 Laidley Spring Festival.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s flagship event is back for another year, with an influx of visitors from across Queensland and interstate expected to the region across Friday and Saturday, 9 – 10 September.
With the spring weather warming up to signify all things Festival-related, Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the event’s new features, including the Twilight Feast & Fest, would bring an extra layer of excitement.
“The Laidley Recreation Reserve parkland will come alive under a sea of festoon lighting and live tunes, while a mix of local and international food vendors will bring the tastiest street food to your tastebuds.
“Throw down your picnic blanket and enjoy this free, family event in the heart of the Laidley CBD.
“There’ll also be a chance to wander through stalls from creative bush businesses before Saturday’s large country market, coordinated by Buy From the Bush Qld,” Mayor Milligan said.
Originally from Goondiwindi, Will is regarded as a standout performer amongst industry peers.
The crowd favourite has a vibrant and energetic stage presence and has opened for the likes of Morgan Evans, Shannon Noll, Icehouse, Diesel, The Black Sorrows and The Viper Creek Band, while also appearing at some of Australia’s most popular country music festivals, including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Winton Outback Festival, Round Up for CMC Rocks, Gympie Music Muster and Roma’s Easter in the Country.
“Will has a genuine gift of storytelling and combined with compelling vocals and his ability to connect with a crowd, I have no doubt he will be a huge drawcard to the Twilight Feast & Fest,” Mayor Milligan said.
