Enjoy the Lockyer Valley Arts Trail
The Lockyer Valley Arts Trail will put the spotlight on the region’s stellar arts community when it kicks off this week.
Held as part of the Laidley Spring Festival weekend, Lockyer Valley Regional Council is encouraging residents and visitors to make sure they check out the Trail.
Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the initiative would showcase our region’s artisans and their studios.
“The Trail will take people on a tour across eight locations spotted throughout the region, from Gatton to Forest Hill, Upper Tenthill and Laidley.
“We have a range of artists involved in the Trail, from illustrators, photographers, sculptors, painters and mixed media artists.
“This is a wonderful initiative, and as a Council we are proud to support our region’s emerging artists.
“We’re also encouraging budding creatives to participate in a range of workshops that will be run by established artists,” Mayor Milligan said.
Participating artists include: Elizabeth Browne - Tara Rose Art; Susan Dryden; Rusticated-Art; Lockyer Valley Art Society Incorporated; Helen Richards Art and Queen B's Collective.
