School holidays covered in the Lockyer Valley

There’s no need to stress about the upcoming school holidays – Lockyer Valley Libraries will host numerous activities to keep youngsters of all ages entertained.

Lockyer Valley Community Services and Environment Councillor Michael Hagan said a line-up of activities would be held at both Gatton and Laidley Libraries.

“School holidays are the perfect time to have a break from the routine of school and keeping the kids entertained doesn’t have to be expensive.

“Simply bring your children along during the session times and enjoy the activities together,” he said.

WHAT: Bubble’licious Fun

Miss Bubbles from Bubble’licious Creations is visiting for this interactive and popular bubble show. Discover many different types of bubbles, featuring the popular 'kid in a bubble' trick, smoke bubbles, giant bubbles and more!

WHEN: Gatton, Wednesday 21 September, 9.30am; Laidley, Wednesday 21 September, 1pm.

WHAT: Lego Blockbuster

Calling all master builders! Watch and play at our Lego Blockbuster event. Watch a Lego movie on the big screen and build your own Lego creations.

WHAT: Cut it Out

Ripping good fun! Use one of our templates to create a collage craft of your own. Design a poster or bookmark to take home and enjoy.

WHEN: Gatton, Friday 23 September, all day; Laidley, Monday 19 September, all day.

WHAT: Lego Afternoon

Have fun making amazing Lego creations at our Lego afternoon sessions. Use your imagination to create anything you can think of or take on a Lego challenge. What can you build with only blue pieces? How tall can you make a structure? The sky’s the limit!
