Business Preparedness Workshops on soon
Lockyer Valley Regional Council has joined forces with AusIndustry to roll out Disaster Management Preparedness Workshops for businesses across the region.
The free workshops, set to kick off later this month, are all about ensuring we can prevent, prepare, respond to and recover from whatever Mother Nature throws our way.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the initiative was tailored specifically for our region’s business community.
“Our business community is made up of faces we all know – be it a relative, neighbour or friend.
“That is why Council is actively supporting this initiative and doing our part to ensure our businesses are ready for whatever weather events may transpire in the future.
“The ongoing flood recovery process has certainly been a focus for many throughout 2022, and this is yet another reminder for our community to prepare their households for the forecast extreme weather season,” Mayor Milligan said.
The workshops will be held at the following locations:
- Laidley Library, Wyman Room, Spicer Street – Tuesday 25 October from 5pm- 6pm
- Withcott Hotel, 652 Toowoomba Connection Road – Thursday 27 October from 10am -11.30am
- Gatton Shire Hall, Foyer – Thursday 3 November, 3pm - 4.30pm
