RADF funding open for 2023
Do you or a group you’re involved with have an arts and/or cultural development project you’re seeking financial assistance for?
If so, the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) may be able to help.
Two grant programs from Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) have opened for applications from groups or individuals.
Individuals and groups are encouraged to apply for Round 1 of RADF funding to support projects that meet the local arts and cultural priorities. Local artists can apply for financial assistance of up to $1000 for individual professional development, skills development workshops, mentorships, master classes and seminars.
The Professional Development Quick Response grant is an out-of-round grant where the funding is available until fully allocated. This grant provides professional or emerging artists, artworks, cultural workers or project coordinators who reside in the Lockyer Valley an opportunity to apply for up to $1000 of funding to support their professional development.
Lockyer Valley Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said RADF grants provide those who are passionate about arts and culture in the Lockyer Valley a helping hand for their projects or professional development.
“This grant program supports a wide variety of projects that help promote the value of developing arts and culture in the region, bringing your big ideas to life.
“This funding will no doubt provide some engaging and exciting opportunities for our region and ensure the Lockyer Valley’s rich and vibrant arts community continues for many years to come.
“I encourage any local individuals and groups to see if RADF can help them.
“As a Council, we are committed to growing a flourishing arts sector and the RADF grants provide one of the many pathways to achieving this vision,” Cr Hagan said,
RADF is a partnership between Lockyer Valley Regional Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
Applications can be made at www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/RADF, with Round 1 closing at 9am on Tuesday 21 February 2023.
