Council to host second Grant Writing Workshop
Following the success of the first workshop, Lockyer Valley Regional Council is pleased to announce a second free Grant Writing Workshop later this month.
If you’re a local not-for-profit community or sporting group who would welcome extra cash to fund projects, activities or upgrades, or you’re in need of assistance when it comes to grant applications, this workshop is for you!
Come along from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, 28 March at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre and discover how to write a successful grant, how to write acquittals and good practices for grant record-keeping that can set you up for future grant writing success.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the free and informative sessions were for the region’s community groups and organisations.
“This additional workshop will provide participants with practical, easy to use information and resources.
“Attendees can expect to learn effective ways to work with their community, create partnerships, collaborate, build competency within their organisation and plan.
“These workshops are run by experienced local grant mentor Ann Bichel, who is exceptional at writing grants and has been responsible for bringing millions of dollars to the region through Council’s community capacity-building processes,” Mayor Milligan said.
