Easter fun at Lockyer Valley Libraries!
Families are encouraged to take advantage of the free fun-filled activities to entertain children throughout the Easter holidays at Lockyer Valley Libraries.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said there was so much to do at Lockyer Valley Libraries these school holidays, with a jam-packed schedule of fun and educational activities for children and youngsters.
“Join us in creating Easter-themed craft for some-bunny special these school holidays, watch a movie on the big screen or get up close and personal with our Barnyard Babies, which is sure to be a hit.
“We are encouraging our region’s families to enjoy the range of activities at our libraries over the break,” he said.
From Monday 3 April to Friday 14 April, both Libraries will offer a Scavenger Hunt to test your sleuthing skills – can you crack the code?
Why not use your creative flair and enjoy making Easter-themed craft at Laidley on Monday 3 April and Gatton on Thursday 6 April.
Titled “Superpowered on Tour”, call in to the Gatton Library on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 April (all day) and the Laidley Library on Wednesday and Thursday, 12 and 13 April (all day) to take part in interactive projects by four Australian artists. Superpowered on Tour has been developed from the “Superpowered” exhibition on display at the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.
On Wednesday 5 April (Gatton) and Thursday 6 April (Laidley), book your spot from 10am for a fun morning with Barnyard Babies. Meet chicks, lambs, kid goats and other farm animals at this special event.
Lastly, mark Tuesday 11 April in your diary to enjoy family movie and Lego Fun – just remember to bring your snacks to enjoy while you’re watching a movie on the big screen!
