New exhibition to take stage at Lockyer Valley Art Gallery
The Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is set to welcome a new exhibition later this month, just in time for the school holidays.
Titled “Outside In”, artists Helen Richards and Sue Dryden’s latest body of work puts a focus on the environment, while also invoking and reinterpreting the classical notion of reflection and belonging.
Lockyer Valley Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said Council was thrilled to host this very special exhibition.
“Our Council is dedicated to supporting the work and development of our local artists.
“The Lockyer Valley is home to a wealth of highly successful and talented artists and we are proud to be offering this platform to showcase their work.
“It is the people who make our active and vibrant arts communities in the Lockyer Valley, and this exhibition is just another example of that.
“It is perfectly timed to coincide with the school holidays, so take the opportunity to come along and see its beauty for yourself,” Cr Hagan said.
See “Outside In” at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery from 31 March until 14 May 2023. The Art Gallery can be found within the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, Gatton and is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 4pm and is closed on public holidays.
