Family History Month at Lockyer Valley Libraries
Have you ever wanted to take a deep dive into your past?
Lockyer Valley Libraries is giving you the opportunity to do just that as part of Family History Month, held annually each August.
Questioning who you are and where you come from is a common query, Lockyer Valley Community Services Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said.
“Our Libraries are pleased to offer an extensive program to discover just that with Family Historian Jacqui Brock.
“When these questions are answered, a greater sense of connection and belonging are achieved so I would encourage any residents who may be seeking a greater understanding of where they come from to book now.
“Whether you’re researching your family history tree, have an interest in social history or love all things genealogical, there’s something for newcomers and seasoned history buffs alike.
“Plus, you never know what treasures you may uncover hidden in your own family story,” Cr Hagan said.
Family History for Beginner workshops are being held
